Student Government Association elections are scheduled for April 18 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 5:30 till 6:30 p.m. and April 19 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m..

At press time, no one had filed for any of the SGA offices.

When no one had filed by the original deadline of April 10, SGA advisor Cory Tomasson extended the deadline to April 12.

To file for office, a student has to submit a petition signed by 50 students.

Students can also campaign and be elected as write-ins.

The positions to be filled, are president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, two sophomore programming board members, and one sophomore representative.

To be eligible, students must have sophomore status and a minimum of a 2.0 grade point average by the fall semester.

The SGA recently approved a new policy requiring the SGA president, vice president and student trustee to enroll in the PTK leadership class, unless they have a class conflict. The policy takes effect in the fall semester.

All students are eligible to vote with a student ID.
