Lori Nall, chair of the social science division, will become Director of Development this summer.
At the April 18 meeting, the College Board approved Nall's appointment to the IVCC Foundation office.
As Director of Development, Nall will work with the Foundation to raise funds not only for student scholarships but also as matching money for larger projects in the college.
"I'm excited about working with the IVCC Foundation Board to add to IVCC's funding stream through private donations," Nall said. "This economy requires the college to develop funding sources beyond state support, which has become a smaller portion of the funding formula that also includes local dollars from taxes and tuition."
Nall has served as the social science chair since 1995. A Peru resident, originally from Princeton, she received her bachelor's degree in psychology and master's in clinical psychology both from Illinois State University. She is pursuing a doctorate in human resource education from the University of Illinois.
