Dear Editor
The singer says,"Don't let the circle of love end with you." These words really didn't mean much to me until recently. Sure, it's a nice video and a good cry in your beer song, but the real meaning hit me right between the eyes the other day. You see I was recently awarded a Highway Angel for an act of kindness I did while an OTR truck driver. Now it is my turn to acknowledge one of our fellow student's for an act of kindness he performed.
On or about January 14, 2001, Mr. Justin Cole helped a fellow student who had fallen. The student was caring a large package and his shoe apparently came off. This caused him to fall. Mr. Cole helped the individual get to a nearby chair. Mr. Cole then went above and beyond normal act of kindness by assisting his fellow student by carrying the package to his next class. What makes this act so remarkable is the student Mr. Cole helped is physically challenged.
Jesus said, "As you have done this to the least of them, so have you done it unto me." Mr. Cole, if IVCC had such an award as a Hallway Angel, you would certainly qualify. But even more important, I look forward to reading the act of kindness you witness so "Don't let the circle of love end with you."
