IVCC is looking for candidates to fill a number of full time positions including some that are new jobs and some created by retirements and resignations.

The college is advertising for seven full-time and 12 part-time positions in early childhood education for a day care center at the Ace Hardware Retail Support Center site in Princeton.

Positions to be filled on campus include Library Director, Director of Development, a counselor / orientation coordinator, and instructors in English, chemistry, choral music and theatre, computerscience and networking, economics, graphic arts technology, mathematics, nursing, physics, political science and history, and sociology and social work..

Jerry Corcoran, director of human resources, said the director openings should be filled within a month. For the instructor positions, he said he hoped those openings would be filled before the summer break.

"Our process for filling full-time positions if pretty thorough," he said. "We take the time necessary to check references and interview top-notch candidates. This investment is money and time well spent."

For the Ace Hardware site, the jobs include an assistant director, two full time teachers director qualified, four full time teachers, a part time teacher director qualified, two part time teachers and nine part time teacher assistants.

In October, IVCC entered into a collaborative partnership with the Ace Hardware Center to operate a day care center on its Princeton site. The center, located next to the Ace facility, will provide day care for the children of Ace team members from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday through Friday.

The state-licensed facility will serve children from 6 week to 12 years of age. It will be licensed to care for up to 80 children. The Princeton facility has more than 500 members.
