"The Hard Years," a theater piece with singers and a chamber orchestra, will be presented at 7:30 p.m. June 14 - 16 in the Cultural Centre.
The work, by Jonathan Schwabe, assistant professor of theory and composition at the University of Northern Iowa, is about a midwest farm family during the Great Depression.
The performances are being presented by the Maud Powell Music Festival, Kevin McMahon, artistic director. Schwabe is the composition instructor of the Powell Festival Institute.
