The Apaches ended their season at home in the first round of the Division II Region IV on February 27. The College of Lake County beat IVCC 83-71.

The Apaches finished the season with an overall record of 9-22, 2-10 in the Arrowhead Conference.

Coach Mike Riley was disappointed with the way the season went.

"We lost a lot of players due to various reasons and that put a lot of pressure on the remaining team members," said Riley

Among one of the key players was Matt Pusch was averaged 15 points a game. In conference play Pusch led in field goal shooting at 67 percent. Pusch also grabbed 6.3 rebounds per game as well as having a free throw percentage of 73.

Jeremy Woodward averaged 15 points per game and Jared Haskell averaged 9 points per game.

Another key player was Jim Chamberlain who came on to the team in the second half of the season and contributed instantly. Chamberlain averaged 10.1 points per game at 51 percent shooting from the field.

Coach Riley expects a better season in 2001-02 with many freshmen returning to the team.
