Plans are well underway for IVCC’s 10th annual Job Fair, entitled "Jobs 2001: a Career Odyssey" which will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. April 19.

"Evening hours are scheduled to assist job seekers who have not been able to attend during the day," reports Kathy Glascock, director of career planning and placement.

As in past years, the gymnasium will house the fair, with more than 100 employers expected to participate.

"Job seekers should circle April 19 on their calendars and plan to attend," said Glascock. "The fair is free for job seekers who will be asked to register at the door by leaving a copy of their resume. In addition, job seekers should plan to dress in interview attire and bring 10 to 20 copies of their resumes to share with employers."

Job seekers who wish to learn more about the development of the job fair, including a list of employers, may watch the department’s website at www.ivcc. edu /cppc or call the Career Planning and Placement Office at 224-0502. Information about employers participating will be made available as the job fair grows nearer.
