Transcripts to take longer

Transcripts for some former and some current students will take about a week to process this spring.

Kelly Conrad, director of admissions and records, said the turnaround would take a week for people who were not enrolled in the fall and who are not graduating in the spring.

"It may be sooner," she said, "but there are no guarantees."

For currently enrolled students who were at IVCC in the fall, transcripts will continue to be ready in a day or less.

"We’re working now on spring grads to be sure they are updated," Conrad said.

A team in the Records Office is converting the records of currently enrolled students into the college’s new computer software, but entering the information involves several steps, Conrad said. She added that the college’s new course numbers are delaying the process since the numbers of courses students took in previous semesters have to be converted.

"We are asking for patience and understanding," Conrad said. "The earlier people are able to plan for their needs, the less urgent it will be when the request comes to us."
