IVCCs Sigma Kappa Delta, national English honor society, is sponsoring a book sale March 23 and 24 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the main lobby.

The group is currently accepting donations of used books, advisor Kim Radek said. SKD will accept any books except textbooks and books being sold through the college bookstore, she said. A drop off box is located in front of Radek’s office, A-311.

SKD is also conducting a membership drive, co-advisor Brian Campbell said. He reported that about 900 IVCC students are eligible for membership. SKD requires a "B" average or higher in English classes and a $30 fee for life-time enrollment

The honor society, in its second year on campus, conducts fund raising activities that include bake sales and car washes to provide funds for trips to stage performances, movies, lectures and other similar activities, the advisors said.

Further information is available from Radek and Campbell.
