Kevin Cummings will present the "Aquatic Biodiversity of Illinois" at 7 p.m. Feb. 18 in D-225.
Cummings presentation is the culmination of the daylong Illinois Rivers Project workshop on campus. He will discuss the variety of life found in rivers and streams of Illinois and will answer questions at the end of his presentation.
A biologist with the Illinois State Natural History Survey in Champaign, Cummings has participated in many studies of the life found in Illinois streams. His specialty is the study of freshwater mussels and he has traveled throughout the Americas studying them.
The public is invited to attend free of charge and to bring their favorite shell. Further information is available from Bob Byrne at ext. 432.
