LETTER TO EDITOR: We didn’t lose everything

Dear Editor,

Thanks to the Apache team and the journalism class for the write-up by Anthony and Vohs (April 8, 1999, Apache, "Jagasia: From India to IVCC). The article – and the Kosovo scenes – bring back a lot of memories.

I ought to correct my statement about losing everything when we left Karachi. Yes, my parents and grandparents lost most of their property and possessions, yet they were always thankful that we were alive and unharmed.

My parents moved on to make a life for themselves and for the family, and they gave us precious gifts of love, fun times, and education.

I agree with them – "We did not lose everything!"
