The Student Government Association’s plans for the end of the semester include conferences, budgets, and race cars.

At press time, the SGA members were making plans for a Motion Simulator to be on campus on April 28 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., according to Cory Tomasson, SGA Advisor. The simulator, which spins in 360 degree motion, gives participants the impression they are riding in a cockpit, on a rollercoaster, or driving a high speed race car.

Also at press time, SGA members were planning to meet and discuss budget requests from IVCC student organizations. The SGA will recommend how funds should be allocated to those groups for the next school year.

SGA members were also drafting a letter to the athletic department requesting the money budgeted for intramurals this year be returned.

On June 5 and 6, SGA members will host a meeting of the Illinois Board of Higher Education Student Advisory Committee. Somewhere between 40 to 80 students from area colleges will be at IVCC to discuss current student issues.
