WLO elects officers, gets new members

Illinois Valley Community College’s Zeta of Illinois
Chapter of Sigma Delta Mu had its second World Language Organization meeting and
initiation of new members April 25.
New students include Jeffrey Armstrong, Hixie Cruz, Brittany
Garcia, Yazmin Gonzalez, Rachel Gross, Jacquelyn Gustafson, Alicia Gutierrez,
Jessica Pinter, Jessica Pioli, Chase Riva and Katherine Zeman. The newly elected
WLO Board members for 2007-2008 are as follows: Hixie Cruz, president; Mike
Holland, vice president; Yazmin Gonzalez, recording secretary; Katherine Zeman,
corresponding secretary; Jessica Pioli, vice president of membership; and Thanh
Nguyen, outgoing treasurer.
Faculty and staff members of the WLO include Gary Talsky,
Language Resource Center coordinator, and instructor Atti Padoan Gallardo. For
