IVCC graduation set for May 18

IVCC Graduation Ceremony will take place Friday May
18 at 7:30 p.m. in the lower gymnasium. William Taylor, former graduate of IVCC
and Northern Illinois University, will be speaking about the scholarship donated
by him and his wife to IVCC graduates who are transferring to NIU.
Phi Theta Kappa will also be taking donations of
non-perishable food items and books that will help battle the social issues of
hunger and low literacy skills. This mission is call Project Graduation.
Donations can be dropped off at the collection boxy located
near the IVCC gym entrance prior to the commencement ceremony. About 850
students will graduate from IVCC, but only around 150 students will walk through
the ceremony.
