Artwork displayed in annual exhibit
IV Leader Staff, May 3, 2007
Artwork from fine arts and graphic design technology
students was displayed Aril 16-27 in the IVCC lobby as part of the annual
student art show.
While the works are not judged, graphics instructor Francie
Skoflanc said the art show allows students the chance to exhibit the work they
have done throughout the year. Categories of work from pen and ink, ceramics,
charcoal, photography and computer-generated art were on display.
To kick off the show, the Art Department hosted its third
annual Artapalooza for students and instructors to celebrate a day of art.
Wallace Grade School and Earlville High School students visited the art
department and participated in Artapalooza activities, according to Skoflanc.
Artapalooza is partially funded by the Illinois Valley Fine Arts Trust and the
Illinois Arts Council.
