MIMIC Fair scheduled for April 25, products planned

The MIMIC Fair will be in the IVCC main lobby on April 25 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Since 1995, MIMIC (Making Industry Meaningful In College) has simulated the real workplace.
MIMIC is funded through the National Science Foundation Grant.
Guidance to the students is provided by Dorene Perez, the engineering design instructor; Jim Gibson, electronics instructor; Rose Marie Lynch, communications instructor; and Susan Koepke, business instructor.
The four companies and their products are :
— Hang It- Wall-Mountable Fish Tank
— Star Light- Star Light Novelty Lamp
— Jam’n Inc.- MP3 Speaker System
— Desktop Accessories & More- Desk Organizer
Koepke, business instructor, said, “This is my second year in the program and it gets better every year. It is great to watch students actually apply the skills that they have learned in the classroom.”
During the MIMIC Fair, IVCC students and staff have the opportunity to buy the products designed, engineered and marketed by the student groups.
