Start your engines: Edible Car Contest coming

In celebration of National Engineering Week the MIMIC
Project and the Occupational Technologies Division of IVCC is sponsoring an
Edible Car Contest.
The competition is at noon on Wednesday Feb. 21 in the main
lobby. Entries must be checked in by 11:30 the day of the contest by at least
one team member.
Each team must include three or more students and at least
one female to enter. Only one car can be presented by each team and students can
only be on one team.
The cars must be built entirely out of food items edible to
humans and have at least two axles and at least three wheels. To be eligible for
a prize the car must be able to roll down a 3-foot ramp. Entry forms must be
turned in by 11 a.m. on Wednesday Feb. 21.
