 WLO candidates needed

    Candidate’s packets are now available for six board positions in the World Language Organization [WLO]. The offices are president, vice-president, program development, vice-president, membership, corresponding secretary, recording secretary and treasurer.
    All IVCC students are eligible for membership in WLO and may vote in the election. Candidates for office must obtain 24 signatures of IVCC students on a nominating position and write a Position Statement in 150 words or less outlining what the candidate promises to do if elected.
    The Candidate Packets can be picked up at Ms. Pietrolonardo’s office A-316 or downloaded from the WLO web page. Complete job descriptions for each office and detailed information about all WLO activities including the Spring Election are available on this site.
    Completed Candidate’s Packets with 24 signatures of current IVCC students and Position Statement should be returned to Professor Pietrolonardo’s office A-316, by 4 pm on Thursday, April 12, 2007. The Order in which completed petitions are received will be the sequence in which candidate’s names will appear on the ballot.
    The election will be held on Tuesday, April 17 in A316 from 10:30 am through 4 pm. New officers will be installed at the WLO/Sigma Delta Mu Annual Meeting on Tuesday, April 24, 2007 from 11 am to 1 pm.
