Applicants are currently under review by the Presidential
Search committee and they will meet in closed session on April 13th and 14th to
interview the semifinalists, with a final determination planed for the 18th.
The committee will narrow the applicants to three to five
finalists. The names of the finalists will not be released until they are
notified and consent to the release.
Finalists will be interviewed at Illinois Valley Community
College individually and meet the students and faculty. The agenda will be
released at the same time as the finalists names.
Charles Novak, Interim President, said that he hopes that the
process will continue to move smoothly and that the Board of Trustees will hire
a president by the spring graduation commencement.
The search committee is composed of members from the board of
trustees, faculty, staff, foundation, board members, and students.
