Dental services offered at clinic
By the IV Leader Staff
Students of the Illinois Valley Community College Dental
Assisting program are offering a dental clinic and appointments are still
available. The clinics offer students, faculty and community members an
opportunity for lower-priced or free dental services.
Full mouth dental X-rays are being offered free of cost on
Mondays from 2 to 4 p.m. and on Thursdays from 8 to 10 a.m. and 2 to 4 p.m.
Limited evening appointments can also be made.
This service is for individuals 15 years or older. The X-rays
will be mailed to individual’s family dentists.
For a fee of $30 those interested can also get a dental exam,
cleaning and sealants, all performed by a licensed dentist and dental
assistants.
Appointments are available for these services on Fridays
through April 28 from 8:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
"This is a great service provided by our dental assisting
program, especially for students and community members who do not have dental
insurance," Pat Pearson, program coordinator, said.
Appointments for all services can be made by contacting
Pearson at 224-0359.
