Enrollment is down just over six percent compared to last fall, but college officials believe the numbers will increase this semester.

At press time 3,523 students were enrolled, compared to 3,762 last fall.

"I know it’s going to improve because apprenticeship programs and online signups are still registering," said Kelly Conrad, director of admissions. "We hope to come even, but it’s never a guarantee."

This fall students are carrying slightly heavier course loads. Currently students are enrolled in 32,000 total credit hours compared to 33,000 last fall, a decrease of only 2.6 percent..
