SGA sets agenda

 The Student Government Association has been discussing a number of items in recent meetings:

· The IVCC referendum – SGA members have been asked to support the college’s attempt to raise taxes in the November 2002 election. See story on page one.

· Vending machines that replaced the cafeteria service – SGA members discussed student complaints about the vending machines and reported answering questions about why the cafeteria kitchen had closed. See story on page one.

· Spirit Day is slated for Sept. 24 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be a variety of games, attractions, and booths sponsored by various organizations. Free pizza will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Q Dawg from the Radio Group will be doing a live remote.

· SGA freshman elections will be held Sept. 17 and 18. See story on this page.

· On Oct. 12 and 13, SGA members will attend the Illinois Community College Student Activities Association Conference.
