Enter name contest, win big $$$
At the beginning of the semester, the newspaper editorial staff decided that the newspaper name needed to change (see the editorial in the Sept. 13, 2001 issue).
On Sept.19, IVCC’s Board of Trustees decided that the Apache mascot must go.
So, students and staff, we need you. The editorial staff needs your suggestions for a new name. During Spirit Day many of you gave us your input, but we still need more ideas.
Realizing that you might need some incentive, the editorial staff will be awarding a $50 gift certificate to the college bookstore to the person who enters the winner.
Please list your suggested name(s) and drop it off at the newspaper office (B-317), the advisor’s office (B-320), or you may e-mail your suggestions. Be sure to include your name, address, and phone number so you can receive the prize if your entry is selected. You may enter as many names as you wish.
