CIRCLE K: Recruiting for new club
Interested in helping the community or helping those less fortunate than yourself? The Circle K may be the club for you.
An informational meeting to discuss forming a Circle K on campus has been scheduled for 2 p.m. on Oct. 16 in the cafeteria. Student Marty Rue said about 20 IVCC students are needed to establish a Circle K, and the LaSalle-Peru Kiwanis Club is interested in sponsoring a chapter on campus.
"This club is very involving," he said. "Funds can be raised for any charity to which the club wishes to donate. We hope to be involved in many project, and need people to help get us on our way to being a successful club for our community."
Some of the groups the Kiwanis donates to are the Muscular Dystrophy association and the Iodine Deficiency Disorder, Rue said.
