GETTING PUBLISHED: A workshop on "Memoirs: Fast Track to Getting Published" will be presented from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Oct. 5 in the Fireplace Lounge.

Kevin Kelleghan will cover organizing memoirs, overcoming writer's block and maintaining enthusiasm to write daily. He will also offer information on how to self-publish or how to offer memoris to a publisher. The $59 course fee includes lunch and a workbook. For more information, call 224-0207.

ART INSTITUTE TRIP: A trip to see "Van Gogh and Gaughin: The Studio of the South" exhibit at The Art Institute of Chicago is available on Oct. 10. The trip includes viewing more than 150 works by Van Gogh and Gauguin.

The $72 course fee includes a slide show/lecture presentation, bus transportation, admission to the exhibit and snacks. Lunch is not included.

The trip is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

HALLOWEEN READING: A Halloween-themed Reading Night has been scheduled for 6 p.m. Oct. 29 on campus.

Comedian and musician Dave Rudolf will be the featured entertainer. Rudolf will perform a show with a Halloween theme that is designed for all age groups in the Cultural Centre.

Other events include a Book Fair and reading workshops. The event is sponsored by the Division of Academic Achievement and the Student Government Association.
