Committees forming for referendum

Committees for IVCC’s 2002 referendum are currently being formed.
The college is planning to ask voters for a tax increase and approval for a $16 million bond referendum.
College President Dr. Jean Goodnow said that the committees are being chosen from volunteers from the college and the community.
SGA president, Ben Hartenbower and student trustee, Lisa Twardowski are currently heading the committee to represent the student body. Other subcommittees include current educators, part-time faculty, rural residents, business and industry, local school administrators, chamber/local government, fund raising, and current employees.
"I’m very optimistic with so many talented committees which should make for a successful referendum," Goodnow said.
