Natya Dance Theatre's "In Myth and Dance" program will be presented in the Cultural Centre at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 17.

The company, which had originally been scheduled to perform at IVCC on Sept. 15, was performing at New York University when terrorists attacked the World Trade Center.

Admission to the Nov. 17 event, which is sponsored by the Arts & Letter Series, the Diversity Committee and the Illinois Arts Council, is free.

The Natya Dance Theatre gives contemporary meaning to India's ancient myths through this performance, which resonates with humor and the mysteries of life.

Giacomo Leone, chair of the humanities and fine arts division said, one goal of the performance is to increase understanding and improve relationships with diverse groups.

"The program will be extremely timely for our audience," he said.

The Theatre, founded in 1975 by dancer, choreographer and educator Hema Rajogopalan, has performed for diverse audiences all over the United States and at the annual Music and Dance Festival in Madras, India.

Further information is available from Leone at 224-0491.
