Reality Theatre coming to IVCC
The Fitness Center and the Diversity Committee are sponsoring “Reality Theatre,” an educational and entertaining youth production, on Dec. 11 at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. in the Cultural Centre.
The presentations are free to all students, faculty and staff.
Reality Theatre is comprised of high school students from the Chicago area who combine the power of creative drama with the impact of youth speaking directly to youth. Junior high schools from the IVCC District have been invited to attend these productions.
Tony Ruda, fitness center director, said students will experience a performance that is age and developmentally appropriate for sixth and eighth grade.
“The show is both humorous and serious and are presented in a language that youth can relate to and offer alternatives to unhealthy behaviors,” Ruda said.
