· Sept. 20 - Writer Tom Chiarella presents readings at 7 p.m. in the Fireplace Lounge, free.

· Oct. 4 - Retired IVCC philosophy instructor Steve Rhoades presents "Philosophy: Do Poets Tell the Truth: The Debate Between Plato and Aristotle," at 2 p.m. in F-113, free.

· Oct. 14 - Novelist and poet Steve Sherrill presents a reading from "The Minotaur Takes a Cigarette Break" at 2 p.m. in C-316 free.

· Oct. 18 - John Lynn presents "Life on the Mississippi" at 2 p.m. in F-113 free.

· Oct. 18 - John Lynn presents "Footloose in England" at 7 p.m. in the Fireplace Lounge free.

· Oct. 26 - Sigma Kappa Delta presents "Spooky, Scary Story Night" at 6 p.m. in the Fireplace Lounge.

· Oct. 26 - 29 - The IVCC Drama Department presents "Harvey" at 8 p.m. Thursday - Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday in the Cultural Centre, $5 admission.
