Making a loud impression on the Midwest’s rock alternative scene is the heavy sound of From Zero.  Hailing from Chicago, the band is building their reputation as one of the city’s most renowned bands.

After hitting the scene two years ago this November, they will release their major label debut early next year on Arista records.

“We are very content with Arista and we will definitely be doing two albums on the label,” said frontman Jett (the band forgoes last names).

Loud noise is a typical stereotype for alternative acts, so what sets From Zero apart?

“Good looks…and vocals,” quips Joe, the band’s lead guitarist.

“From Zero’s sound is different , although it is in the parameters of the genre of music that is prominent today. We are comparable to no one,” insists Jett.  “If you get ahold of the album, sit down and really listen to it, and you will see that it is different than what is on the scene at the moment.”

From Zero is in affiliation with KMA management, who also manages fellow Chicago band Disturbed, who are currently tearing up the charts with their hit single “Stupify.”

“We hope to someday tour with Disturbed; two bands from Chicago would make a great show,” said Joe.

“We love Disturbed and they are very happy for our recent success,” adds Jett.

The band is currently in postproduction, wrapping up loose ends for the album that took “two years to write and produce,” explained Jett. “Some of the stuff is new but most of the songs were written over a two-year span.”

From Zero is planning on touring in the future, but they have yet to be confirmed for a tour. Instead, they are hoping to be on the bill for next year’s Ozzfest, and are looking forward to their upcoming album release.
