"We have an exceptional cast and crew for this production," said Dr. David Kuester, director. "I am sure that we will come together to product a really exciting, high quality show."
The classic comedy by Mary Chase focuses on Elwood P. Dowd, played by Michael Hylin, and Dowd's imaginary friend Harvey, a six and a half foot rabbit.
The comedy, set in the mid-1940s, shows the problems that arise when Elwood's sister tries to have Elwood committed to a sanitarium because of his eccentric behavior. Eddie Bauman plays Elwood's sister.
"The theatre production students have worked very hard to create a wonderful scenic environment for the show," Kuester said. "I am really impressed with the craftsmanship and skills our students have contributed to this production."
Kuester said a rolling fireplace wall and the scene painting were especially good examples of the students' fine work.
Members of the technical crew include Jose Miranda, tech crew assistant director; Edward Vasquez, tech coordinator for lighting; Matt Harmon, sound; Jeremiah Bolinger, set design and construction; Genetta Douglas, costume, makeup and props; Amber Mecum, publicity; Terry Stone, Maurice Caffey, Justin Ernat and Reagan Gearhart, running crew.
General admission for the show is $5.
