Most students should receive their fall semester grades in the mail by Jan. 1.

Delivery by that date is not being guaranteed, but the Office of Admissions and Records plans to have final grades processed on Dec. 20.

"Grades are due by all faculty on that morning (Dec. 20) and the Records staff will do their best to have report cards ready for Shipping to send on or about Dec. 22," said Kelly Conrad, director of admissions and records.

Transcripts requested for the end of the fall semester will also be processed on Dec. 20, Conrad said, but the transcripts will not go in the mail that day.

"Students should not expect universities to receive those (transcripts) before Christmas Day," Conrad said.

She advised students to submit their transcript requests before the end of the semester to simplify the process. Courses taken before the college adopted its current computer system have to be converted into the system, she explained.

"If a transcript needs to be converted into our new system, it will be converted prior to Dec. 20 and will only be awaiting final grade postings," Conrad said.

Questions about transcripts should be directed to the Office of Admissions and Records, C-207, 224-0447.
