A 7.5 K run/walk is scheduled on campus Sat. Oct. 16 at 9 a.m. Awards will be presented to the top three finishers in each of 21 age divisions and to the overall male and female winners.
The race is open to the public for a $13 registration fee if paid by Oct. 15 or $20 on race day.
The 4.6 mile course is cross country style, including some pavement and some grass, and it begins and ends at the gym.
"The course runs around the grounds of IVCC through the beautiful pine forest, past the pond, and also includes a run through our auto shop," said organizer Dennis Summers.
Check in for the race starts at 8 a.m.
Showers will be available. Free massages will be provided by the massage therapy class, Summers said.
The race is one of several events being held in conjunction with IVCC’s 75th Anniversary Homecoming Oct. 15 through Oct. 17.
