The American Chemical Society is sponsoring a pinata, a river testing day, and a bake sale.
The pinata, filled with candy and prizes, is scheduled for noon Oct. 22 in the courtyard. ACS reporter Nate Johnson said the pinata is in celebration of National Mole Day, which is on Saturday, Oct. 23. The Mole Day activity is being organized by Amy Antas and Johnson.
Chem club members will be testing the Fox River during an all-day canoeing trip Oct. 23. The day will begin at 8 a.m. in the main lobby.
A sign up sheet is available near the office of ACS advisor Robert Byrne, D-202. Cost, which includes lunch, is $15.
ACS member Cheryl Lucas, who is organizing the testing, said river testing experience is preferred.
On Oct. 28, ACS members will have a bake sale near the cafeteria from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
