Back to Apache home page

Only one student has filed for the three freshman positions on the Student Government Association to be decided in the Sept. 17 and 18 elections.

Paul Thompson, 18, of Oglesby and a graduate of LaSalle-Peru High School, is running for freshman representative.

No one filed for the two freshman programming board positions. Those posts can be filled by write-in candidates under SGA rules. To be eligible, a student must be enrolled in at least 12 credit hours and have completed less than 30 with a minimum gpa of 2.0.

All IVCC students are eligible to vote. Voters must have their student photo IDs.

The SGA is also looking for a student with sophomore standing to serve as a sophomore programming board member. No one petitioned for the position in the spring elections.

Anyone interested should contact Cory Tomasson, SGA advisor, or any SGA member.
