Reno finds funny photo funny

U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno would probably have been amused by the Funny Foto booth that caused a controversy on campus.

Bloomington Pantagraph columnist Bill Flick reported that a Florida publication sent Reno a framed copy of a photo with her head on a body described as "curvaceous, swimsuit-clad."

Flick reported that Reno apparently sent $36 to the Weekly World News for the cost of mailing and for the frame.

The Funny Foto booth, set up in the IVCC courtyard Sept. 2, allowed students and staff to have their faces superimposed on a variety of bodies. While the booth was popular (see "Funny Fotos Sends a Dangerous Message, the Apache, Oct. 8, 1998), some people objected to a sexist bias.

Flick’s column, "News is Stranger Than Fiction," is at www.pantagraph.com.
