Letter to Editor: PTK advisors acknowledged
Dear Editor,
In recognition of Phi Theta Kappa’s 80th Anniversary, I would like to acknowledge Lori Nall, Marge Hunt, Wes Black and Kirk Lockwood as Illinois Valley Community College’s PTK advisors. I appreciate their dedication and commitment as advisors to this select group of community college students.
Within the past ten years, 37,750 students have earned membership in PTK in Illinois. This past academic year 4,085 students were inducted, ranking Illinois as number four among the fifty states in inductions.
Join me in celebrating this anniversary by promoting and strengthening our local chapter and recognizing the commitment of our chapter advisors.

Editor’s Note: In October, IVCC’s Rho Omega chapter inducted 27 students. A minimum 3.5 gpa is required to be eligible for membership in the group that promotes scholarship, leadership and service.
