Grades mailed Dec. 21

Don’t count on getting your grades before Christmas.

Processing of grade reports will be completed Saturday, Dec. 19, but postal delivery will likely be delayed because of holiday mail.

Kelly Conrad, director of admissions, said Records Office staff would be working overtime to process grades from the time the grades come in. The deadline for instructors to submit grades is 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 17.

As soon as the grades come in, Records Office staff begin a process that includes

verifying and updating grades in the computer,

posting Dean’s List and Part Time Honors,

doing the final evaluation of grades and requirements of fall graduates,

tagging graduates and honors,

checking and tagging probationary students,

processing repeated classes and grade exclusions,

processing degree changes, and,

processing incompletes from the spring and summer.

Grade processing continues on Saturday with five or six staff members working that day, Conrad said. Shipping and Receiving staff members will come in on Monday, Dec. 21, when the college is closed, to get the grade reports in the mail.

"We do everything we can to get grade cards out before Christmas; however, due to holiday mail and post office delays sometimes it takes longer than we wish it would," she said. "We are sorry for the delay."
